AfterLyfe vs Meminto
Meminto and AfterLyfe both support more than written stories. Each can help families preserve videos, photographs, audio, and personal memories.
The difference is how that content reaches the family.
Meminto uses stories and media to create a printed memory book with audio and video connected through QR codes.
AfterLyfe provides video stories, downloadable videos, posthumous release, personal messages, and family photos and home videos with their background stories.

Meminto
A printed memory book with text, photographs, voice, and video
Meminto’s Essential plan currently costs $99 and includes up to 100 pages, 100 photographs, and one printed hardcover book.
The Complete plan costs $149 and includes more than 300 pages, unlimited photos, and one printed book.
The Premium plan costs $397 and includes more than 300 pages, unlimited photos, three printed copies, and a digital flip-book version.
Users receive up to two years to work on the book. Additional pages, time, credits, and some extended media storage may cost extra.
AfterLyfe costs $12.99 monthly or $99 yearly. Keyholder accounts are free, and there is no additional fee for Keyholders to participate, request stories, or watch and download content shared with them.
Meminto can record or attach voice and video to a book story. QR codes are printed on the corresponding pages so relatives can scan the book and play the connected recording.
AfterLyfe lets the Vault Owner record video stories and upload existing photos, home videos, documents, and audio files.
The difference is how the family uses the media.
With Meminto, the book is the primary experience, and recordings extend the printed pages.
With AfterLyfe, the videos and messages are delivered directly to the selected Keyholders. Those Keyholders can watch and download the content without needing to scan a physical book.
AfterLyfe members can choose which Keyholders receive individual stories, videos, and personal messages.
Content can be available during the member’s lifetime or after the vault opens.
This allows someone to record:
Each Keyholder receives a free account and only accesses the content shared with them.
Uploading a photograph or home video preserves the file. Recording its background story preserves its meaning.
AfterLyfe allows the member to explain who appears, what was happening, and why the memory matters.
Keyholders can also request stories while the Vault Owner is still recording. That gives family members a chance to ask about things they have always wanted to know.
Meminto is a strong choice for someone who wants:
Meminto may not be the right fit if you want individual recipient control, personal messages for specific loved ones, posthumous release, or an experience that is not organized around a printed book.
Meminto also explains that continued hosted audio and video storage may require payment after the included period.
AfterLyfe is video-first and does not include a printed book. Its videos can be watched and downloaded directly by the Keyholders who receive them.
It does not currently provide speech-to-text. Its focus is direct video stories, personal messages, family media, background stories, and controlled delivery.
Choose Meminto if the goal is:
“I want a physical book that combines written stories, photographs, voice, and video.”
Choose AfterLyfe if the goal is:
“I want to record video stories, leave personal messages, preserve family media, and decide who receives each part and when.”
