Tell the story behind old photos and videos
Think about a documentary. They play an old clip, then someone says, "Here's what was really happening." You can do the same thing.
The file shows the moment. You tell the story behind it.
Probably.
You just need more time.
Writing your whole life down sounds like a lot of work. And that's because it is.
AfterLyfe makes recording your life story as easy as answering one question at a time.
Just curious what brought you here so I can be most helpful.

Imagine simply telling your life story.
Just talking about some of your favorite moments, people you miss, things you've learned, and stories you completely forgot about.
But where would you start?!
That's where we come in.
ANYONE
can do that.
You do not have to figure out your whole life story. Just start with one thing.
Record a memory
Add an old photo or video and explain what's happening
Let your family ask you questions
Huge question
"Tell me your life story."
Much easier
"What was your first job?"
That first job might remind you of your first car. Then the person you used to ride around with. Then the summer you met your wife.
One memory brings back another.

AfterLyfe is more than memory questions. It's a space for every story, every memory, and every moment that matters.

Think about a documentary. They play an old clip, then someone says, "Here's what was really happening." You can do the same thing.
The file shows the moment. You tell the story behind it.

Had a good day? Talk about it. Need to rant? Go for it. Your life story is still happening.

How much do you remember about your grandparents? What about their parents? Where did your family come from? Why did they move?
Make sure your grandkids know you better than you knew your grandparents.

You will never think of every story worth recording. Your family may ask something you have not thought about in years.

You can record videos that can be played at your funeral and other vids that will be sent to family and friends.
Rich people shouldn't be the only ones able to do this.

Photos, documents, letters, recipes, audio recordings. Keep the important things safe and easy for your family to find.
Need help getting a story started?
Use Guided Stories privately inside AfterLyfe, or use the Conversation Cards to get a group talking.
We give you an open-ended question like:
“What was the first live performance you ever went to?”
The question helps you start.
You decide where the story goes.

Everyone gets the same fill-in-the-blank story starter. Everyone gives a different answer. Then you share.

Want competition? Keep score.
Just want to reminisce? Skip it.
The conversation is the point.

Founder's story
I started thinking about what my family would really have from me if something happened.
Sure, they would have pictures. Videos. Things I owned. But would they know why I made certain choices? What shaped me? What I learned? What I would want them to understand about life?
Why wait until someone is gone to wish we asked more questions?
That is why I built AfterLyfe. To help people tell more of those stories now.
